Forestry mulching

Brush goes in. Mulch comes out.

A mulching head on a track loader grinds palmetto, scrub and small trees where they stand. No burn piles, no haul-off, and the mulch covers the ground while the grass comes back.

  • Fence lines, trails and right-of-way
  • Overgrown lots and acreage
  • Underbrush cleared, big trees kept

I had a great experience with Big Cals Clearing LLC. Communication was solid from start to finish, they showed up when they said they would, and the work was done efficiently and professionally. They were respectful of the property, worked hard, and made the whole process easy on my end. If you need clearing done and want someone reliable who gets the job done right, I’d definitely recommend them.

Questions

Before you call.

Anything else, ask us at (448) 249-5287.

Do you haul the debris off, or leave it in piles?

We haul it. Debris removal and haul-off is one of our services, for clearing and demolition jobs alike. Tell us what you want gone and what stays, like firewood, mulch or the big trees, and it goes into the quote.

Can you clear the underbrush and keep the big trees?

Yes. Brush and underbrush removal is a job on its own. Flag the trees you want to keep and we clear around them.

What’s the difference between forestry mulching and land clearing?

Mulching grinds brush and small trees into chips where they stand and leaves the mulch on the ground. Land clearing takes everything down to bare dirt, stumps included, so the ground can be graded and built on.

Do you tear down houses?

Yes: houses, garages, sheds and outbuildings, interior demo, concrete, and selective demolition when only part of a building comes off. Ask about permits and utility shut-offs when you call; the rules differ between the city, the county and the beach towns.

When can I reach you?

Our Google hours are open 24 hours Monday through Friday and 6 AM to noon on Saturday. Sundays we’re closed. Call or text (448) 249-5287.

How far do you travel?

We’re based in Crestview and work across Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton counties, from Milton and Pace to Niceville, Destin, DeFuniak Springs and Santa Rosa Beach.

Do you take commercial jobs?

Yes. We take residential, commercial and municipal projects, from a single overgrown lot to bigger clearing and demolition work.
